Are you ready to start your coding metamorphosis? Our online classes can teach you all the skills you need with no experience necessary. Choose between the caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly levels based on the age and experience of your students.
Caterpillar
Grades K-2
The Caterpillar stage introduces coding and teaches the fundamentals of computer science while encouraging creativity and imagination.
Cocoon
Grades 3-5
The Cocoon stage teaches the basics of event-based programming and basic logic to create programs where elements interact with each other.
Butterfly
Grades 6-8
The Butterfly stage introduces complex logic in programming and the use of algorithms and abstractions to create larger scale projects.
The age ranges listed above are just recommendations, we welcome you to take whichever one of our classes you think would work best for you.

Do we need to download or purchase any programs or software to participate in classes?
Binary Butterflies works to provide completely free and accessible resources so learning to code is an option available to everyone. All of our classes utilize completely free web-based resources that require no downloads, all you need to participate is a computer and an internet connection. For some special courses such as Minecraft and Roblox, installation may be required, but specific installation instructions will be sent to you, and courses that require such software will be clearly specified.
